Start with the corner you have
A narrow table by a window or a fold-down desk against a spare wall can become the whole workshop. Define the area with a soft rug or a small lamp, so the space feels intentional rather than squeezed in.
Privacy that helps you focus
If the corner sits in a shared room, a simple room divider, a tall plant, or a bookcase used as a screen gives the eyes a buffer. Headphones and a good task light also make the spot feel private, even when the room is busy.
Storage that stays out of sight
Keep small parts, spare tools, and unfinished builds in lidded boxes that slide under the desk. Wall-mounted shelves hold the current favorites—like a Predator model file, a Concorde prototype aircraft file, and a Hulk model file—while keeping the flat surface clear for working.
Comfort for longer sessions
A supportive chair and a footrest make a big difference when you are sorting files or preparing a build. Keep a cushion on the seat, place the screen at eye level, and leave enough leg room to move freely.
A system for files and projects
Name the folders on your computer by project, and keep a paper notebook beside the desk for notes and next steps. When a new STL file arrives, save it in the same place every time and note the filename before closing the browser.
